Here's the photos of making the window coffin for Ramondetta's C1RCA window @ DLXSF Skate Shop... Feb 24, 2007. I used a Creature display coffin, the coffin-shaped Ramondetta deck (I don't know from when, I'm not a deck art historian, but there's a train derailing on it). The inside is lined with stuffed velvet, orange lights and hand painted/glitter silk flowers. I added some spider webs twisted out of copper wire. View some pics under the cut...
From Feb 25th Journal entry:
spent all day today working at our retail shop. this month's window is a Circa / REAL cross-promo featuring Ramondetta. Anyway here's Matt D (shop mgr) and Jarrod trying to help me stuff this damn "velvet snake" for the inside liner of the coffin:
It was too weird not to take a picture.
it took me like... 4 hours? to piece together the coffin w/ the hand painted flowers and such... light it up w/ some orange bulbs etc etc:

Then it all came together later in the afternoon. By the time we were closing shop ~6pm it got dark enough to see the full effect of the lights:

Close up boyeeee (blurry cuz I didn't want to kill it w/ flash):

I'm stoked on it and the shop guys seemed to like it so, all's well for working on a Sunday...
PS: I did NOT get a picture of this gem... but across Market St from our shop there's a little empty lot behind a chain link fence, and someone had spray painted on some concrete in like HUGE 3ft letters... (shitty tagger style letters): "THE UNSTOPABLES."
Yeah, not even the THIRD GRADE could stop you...
Jesus Mary & Joseph are not part of the actual piece. They were found on the street in Oakland, and my old roommate brought them home.
